What is something [people in your industry/niche] have to deal with that you want to fix? Talent shortage and talent acquisition - There is an extremely high number of people who are unemployed with numerous opportunities. One of those opportunities being in the automotive industry. It can truly be rewarding, but it certainly has a negative connotation. We need to recreate a respectable image of working in the automotive sales industry to decrease the talent shortage and contribute to talent acquisition.
What do you do at AMG? I assist our dealer partners by enrolling them in the appropriate programs, helping gauge their performance and facilitating communication between our dealer partners and vendor partners. I also write our monthly blog.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position? My dad has been working in the automotive industry for 20 years and has been a Dealer Principal for 7. I was an employee at the dealership for all 7 of those years and it allowed me to see a portion of the behind the scenes tasks while working in the accounting office as well as what goes on in the showroom on a day to day basis. I have seen the highs and lows of the automotive industry and I was able to take that insight with me to AMG to better assist both our vendor and dealer partners.
What do you like about working at AMG? AMG is such a positive work environment, it is the epitome of a work/life balance. Everyone supports each other and assists where they can.
