The mid-year AMG Company meeting was a memorable and impactful event, filled with insightful sessions, engaging challenges, and team bonding activities!
The gathering kicked off with a delightful steak dinner on Friday evening, setting the tone for a weekend of learning and collaboration.
Saturday began with discussing the growth of the company thus far and anticipations for the rest of the year. Moreover, we checked in with ourselves on the strength of our relationships with vendor partners and dealers because having efficient relationships is SO important!
After, we dove straight into a high-energy session featuring Sellchology founder, Jonathan Dawson. Jonathan is an automotive consultant, sales trainer, author, speaker, and coach. For 14 years he has been helping dealerships and sales teams improve sales, reduce turnover and implement effective marketing strategies. Jonathan is known for his conversational teaching style and common sense approach and we had the chance to experience that first hand! His presentation went on to discuss how to truly thrive in the automotive industry, along with pointers to transform our mindset to pave the way for success in all arenas of life. We discovered that problems are ultimately patterns, and every query in life and business is malleable and can be forged into a question that sparks passion as opposed to trepidation. It was both inspiring and practical, providing valuable insights and strategies that resonated with everyone, not only professionally, but personally.
Following the session, we participated in a team marketing challenge. The company was divided into three groups, each tasked with creating a comprehensive marketing plan. The challenge included defining team member roles and responsibilities, setting and delineating a detailed budget breakout, outlining plans for demand creation and capture, and determining the marketing mix to achieve maximum results for a sample five store group. Each team had 4 members, and teams proactively took time before the company meeting to collaborate, as well as a 10 minute breakout session to solidify planning. Teams were judged on how well team member roles were defined, encompassment of budget, team collaboration, planned communication, and the holistic scope of the marketing plan. This exercise not only fostered creativity and teamwork but also deepened our understanding of effective marketing strategies.
Despite facing a global IT outage, the meeting was a resounding success. The team demonstrated resilience and adaptability, making the most of the situation and ensuring that the event was productive and enriching.
After a day of learning and collaboration, we made time for rest and relaxation, ending the night with an exciting Atlanta United soccer game. It was a great way to unwind and bond as a team!
This mid-year meeting was incredibly impactful, providing us with new tools and perspectives to drive AMG forward. We left feeling motivated and energized, eagerly anticipating our next gathering as we continue to grow stronger together.
WHILE WE STILL HAVE YOU READING...
All three of our companies, AMG, MOJO, and XDC, are participating in the 2024 Over the Edge event for Make-A-Wish. Make-A-Wish has been granting life-changing wishes to local children with critical illnesses for over 20 years, impacting over 8,000 wish kids and families.
Jonathan and Joe are signed up to go over the edge, and we need to raise $1,500 for each of them, totaling $3,000. We appreciate your support in helping us reach this goal.
